Overview

The Everest region is one of the world’s most popular and spectacular trekking destinations and is famous for its spectacular mountain peaks, including Mt. Everest (8,848m) and several other giants.

The Gokyo lakes trek This trek is an excellent alternative to the Everest Base Camp trip. It is a more peaceful trek through the Sherpa heartland that affords more time for acclimatization whilst offering scenery that is arguably even more spectacular than Everest Base Camp trek. The rich Sherpa culture and their friendly nature are an added extra bonus on this awe-inspiring trip.

The highlights of the trek are our ascent of Gokyo Ri. From the summit we gain superb views of Everest as well as the 8000m peaks of Lhotse, Makalu and Cho-Oyu. We will go across Renjo La pass (5,360m) and witness the Fith lake (4,956m).
