Overview

This trip has a duration of 25 days including trekking, training and the peak climbs.

In this trip, these are the peaks that you’d climb:

– Gokiyo Ri, 5000m+
– Kala Pathar, 5000m+
Lobuche peak, 6000m+
– Chhukung Ri, 5000m+
Island Peak, 6000m+

You will hike up to Gokiyo Ri, Cho La pass, Kala Patthar and Everest Base Camp, which is a perfect training for the peak ascent of the other peaks, on top of being a great trek. It is also good for acclimatisation before climbing the other peaks.

The HAM Course will teach you the relevant techniques to acquire mountaineering skills and all you need to know in order to climb those peaks. The topics include: Himalayan glacier, anchorage, crevasse rescue systems, jumaring on fix line, and rope and knots. It includes how to trek in high altitude. This trip will be lead by a multi Mt EVEREST summiteer.

Food and accommodation: During trek and training the accommodation will be in lodges. All meals will be freshly cooked and served at the lodge. During the training  and peak climbing, the accommodation will be in tents at base camps or high camps of the peaks. Here, we will provided alpine-style food.

Required: You must be physically  and mentally well prepared for this trip. You must also have some technical, basic mountaineering and climbing knowledge or similar, as well as hiking experience.

TRIP ITINERARY

Arrival in Kathmandu

Preparation for the trip and First Aid class

Flight to Lukla (2,840m) and trek to Phakding(2,656m)

Phakding to Namche bazaar (3,450m)

Namche Bazar – Acclimatisation day

Trek to Dole (4,040m) and rope work

Trek to Machhermo (4,400m) and rope work

Acclimatisation trek in Machhermo and training of different types of rock anchor

Trek to Gokyo lake (4,750m) and roping practice

Hike up to Gokyo Ri (5,364m) and back to Dangnak. Himalaya crevasse rescue theory

Trek to Zongla (4,830m) via Cho La pass (5,330m) and crevasse rescue practice

Hike up to High Camp of Lobuche and practice of snow anchorage

Summit day of Lobuche peak as part of the training and back to Lobuche or stay at high camp

Hike to Kala Pathar from Lobuche and then Everest Base Camp

Trek to Chhukung over Khongma La pass

Chhukung peak and short rope practice

Rest day and short rope and short rappel practice in Chhukung

Hike up to Island peak Base Camp

Summit day for Island peak and back to Base Camp

Back to Pangboche

Back to Namche Bazaar

Namche Bazaar to Lukla

Flight Lukla to Kathmandu

Kathmandu – Free day
